The worry began to affect my health and my focus on day-to-day work with clients. Worst of all, I was felt like I was losing hope slowly going mad with anxiety.

 

Job Security- What's That!

Would I have to admit defeat and go and find yet another job. My Mom didn't get my ambition and would urge me to get a nice little part time job that I could do without worry and then go home to do a bit of housework! (oh how that prospect filled me with dread too) The very thought of yet another corporate prison cell filled me with even more fear. Everyone around me prattled on about job security and getting a job for life. Did they not read the papers anymore,the days of corporate stability were long gone, no such thing anymore.
Would I have to downsize and live in more modest surroundings or move to another part of the country just to find work. I just knew that I needed an alternative solution fast to my serious work and health dilemma.
Finally I hit rock bottom. One more day of crying and my eyes might have disappeared into slits under a mass of tissues and running mascara. I really felt all my energy had been sucked out of me, I really couldn’t take anymore. I was sick of panic attacks each time I got in my company car. I had to leave and do it quickly.

Quitting my job was scary, and took courage, but I knew I had made the right decision for me. I really had to walk away from my last job as each time I trying to say the name of the company I would burst into tears and shake with stress that was no longer an option.

I spoke with my husband as my income brought in more than half of our income each month.At first, he told me that I probably needed to get another 'proper job'. I told him that really wasn’t an option for me.
